Mistborn: The Alloy of Law Novel by Brandon Sanderson

Mistborn: The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson is set in the same world as the original Mistborn trilogy but takes place several centuries later, during a time of industrial revolution. The story follows Waxillium “Wax” Ladrian, a nobleman turned lawman, who returns to the city of Elendel to deal with rising crime and corruption. Alongside his partner, Wayne, Wax uses his Allomantic and Feruchemical powers to solve mysteries and fight against a new breed of criminals. The novel blends elements of fantasy, mystery, and action in a rapidly changing society.
